The Jen Kao<\/a> Fall 2012 collection brings together inspirations from vintage Far East, the Jazz Age, and English aristocracy, to create a collection of beautifully tailored pieces that could only be made in the present. This collection marks an evolution of the designer, her most street-ready collection to date.<\/p>\n

This collection is best described in the words of the designer,<\/p>\n

“A foxy approach, polished cagey…
\nEast meets West for nightcaps.”<\/h2>\n

The color palate was classically dark- tobacco brown, military green, and eggplant purple, with flashes of red, fuchsia and teal. Hem sweeps and silk fringes were dip dyed in coal black to add drama to sweaters layered over slips.<\/p>\n

Balancing the masculine and feminine a Black Silk Wool Tuxedo Jacket was paired over a slim pant. An Olivine Overcoat trimmed in Mink was worn alone over tights to accentuate the lines of the feminine form. A Lotus and Chrysanthemum embroidered Theater Jacket paired with Jade Teal embroidered pants looked as comfortable as a pair of pajamas but would be exactly right for a night at the opera.<\/p>\n
