{"id":6,"date":"2008-09-23T15:00:00","date_gmt":"2008-09-23T19:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.modacycle.com\/wordpress\/?p=6"},"modified":"2010-01-13T12:57:16","modified_gmt":"2010-01-13T16:57:16","slug":"caroline-hedaya-spring-2009-preview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/modacycle.com\/old_modacycle_jan_2016\/2008\/09\/23\/caroline-hedaya-spring-2009-preview\/","title":{"rendered":"Caroline Hedaya &#8211; Spring 2009 Preview"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"blacktext\">by Charles Beckwith<\/p>\n<p class=\"blacktext\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carolinehedaya.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Caroline Hedaya<\/a> Spring 2009 Preview at the <a href=\"http:\/\/redmarketnyc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Red Market Salon<\/a> on Gansevoort Street was well attended by a friendly fashion-forward crowd.<\/p>\n<p class=\"blacktext\">Designers Caroline Hedaya and Donna Baxter were well dressed themselves, and presented an interesting collection.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"blacktext\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/modacycle.com\/journal\/images\/9-23-08\/IMG_0391.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"blacktext\">The collection was a bit of a paradox: no frills simple elegant designs&#8230; with some frills for fun. My favorite look was a beautifully cut floor-length mother of pearl gown with a tea party bow in the back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"blacktext\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/modacycle.com\/journal\/images\/9-23-08\/IMG_0366.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"566\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"blacktext\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/modacycle.com\/journal\/images\/9-23-08\/IMG_0393.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"314\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"blacktext\">Other standouts were a red cocktail dress with a cascade of pleats coming off the breast, a sleek shimmering dark, almost squid ink-colored, navy blue pant and spaghetti top set, a cocktail dress of the same material, a navy and white polka dot dress, and a smart dark one piece bathing suit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"blacktext\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/modacycle.com\/journal\/images\/9-23-08\/IMG_0377.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"420\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"blacktext\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/modacycle.com\/journal\/images\/9-23-08\/IMG_0382.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"blacktext\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/modacycle.com\/journal\/images\/9-23-08\/IMG_0385.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"242\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"blacktext\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/modacycle.com\/journal\/images\/9-23-08\/IMG_0356.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"556\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"blacktext\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/modacycle.com\/journal\/images\/9-23-08\/IMG_0363.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"404\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"blacktext\">Some looks felt incongruous in the collection, however.
