Brazilian fashion designer Az Araujo sent a swimwear collection down the runway during the Fall 2010 New York Fashion Week. In this collection, Araujo seems to have successfully combined Brazilian sensuality with the intensity urban New York influences.
Animal prints, energetic patterns, floral, and netted dresses were the highlights of the show. One of several favorite ideas was the tops that featured asymmetrical cuts which cleverly concealed all necessary body parts, while still leaving plenty up to the imagination. Cocktail dresses including netting, floral patterns, and animal print were also featured in the collection. For the menswear, emphasis was put on Spedo-style suits, which were shown in ample variety: shiny green, shiny black, green snakeskin, and brown snakeskin. Models were heavily accessorized with chunky jewelry, vibrant colors, and oversized scarves, all of which harmonized the collection.
