Taiwanese designer Jason Wu (best known for having created of Michelle Obama’s iconic yellow inaugural gown) sent a delicate and lady-like collection down the runway for Fall 2010.
Light, airy, and full of feathers and tulle, Wu headed straight for Irving Penn to find inspiration for these creations.
The collection consisted of platinum prints, PVC-splattered paints, veiled transparency, feathers confined beneath silk tulle, and alluring cashmere coats with metallic details. Overall, Wu’s collection pushed a somewhat androgynous twist into his historically very feminine line.
