Nary Manivong’s spring-summer 2010 collection was all about bold colors and breezy looks. This Laotian-American designer, who originally showed in New York in the fall of 2005, continues his beautiful interpretations of easy looks and styles for the modern woman, with beautiful silks and a lot of exposed zippers for next season. The presentation included a band from Ohio, his home state, and plenty of beauty secrets from the cosmetics sponsors.

The hair looks were beachy, with no product except for that of some texturizing cream to give the models mane’s some sun-drenched, ocean-kissed curls and volume. The nails for the show were done using Milani products, to create a very mod gold nail look, which was achieved using a pale golden basecoat.

Nary described the collection’s target consumer for us before the show. “Our girl is fun, flirty, and it is reflective in our wearable clothes.” About the accessories, he said, “this bold girl is also very futuristic. The knuckle rings and shiny bracelets reflect that she really wants to make a statement.”
