Fashion Movies

From Sabrina to Valentino The Last Emperor, to Clueless, The Thomas Crown Affair, and Who Are You Polly Magoo, with 40 more for good measure, this is modaCYCLE’s ridiculously long list of fashion movies… part one.

Recently, Sandy Ramirez, Darrah Leffler, and Charles Beckwith were sitting around a table at a popular diner in Brooklyn and started talking about movies related to fashion. Once they got rolling they started writing down this list of films. Some, like Valentino: The Last Emperor, are all about fashion, while others, like Pretty Woman or Gone With The Wind, are listed for a single defining scene. To find out why some of these were included you would really have to ask Charles or Sandy. While we were preparing this article, Boris Marberg added a vote for 1968’s The Thomas Crown Affair, and Cameron Carpenter suggested The Talented Mr. Ripley. This list is not in any particular order.

To celebrate the opening of the new film The September Issue, here is modaCYCLE’s ridiculously long list of fashion movies… part one.
